Why am I not allowed to use the Clue app if I’m under 13 years old?

The United States has a strict set of laws to protect the privacy of children under 13, called the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). In order to comply with COPPA, we cannot process the data of anyone under 13 years old. COPPA was established to protect the privacy of children and it’s something we take very seriously at Clue.

We know that tracking with Clue is a valuable tool for anyone getting their first period, which often happens before age 13. Our Science Team has put together free articles filled with science-based answers to your questions, as well as helpful info for your first period, which are available to you here

If you have any questions about your first period, we recommend that you speak to your healthcare provider. Thanks for your understanding and we hope that Clue will become your trusted health companion when the time is right.
