How can I cancel my subscription?

Before you cancel your Clue Plus subscription, please keep in mind that while you will lose access to some of the Clue Plus premium features, you won’t lose any of your data.

Your privacy is our priority: How we manage and protect your data stays the same, whether you’re a premium member or a free user.

How to cancel

Please be aware that deleting your data, Clue account, or the Clue app from your device does not cancel an active Clue Plus subscription. The subscription needs to be cancelled directly with the payment provider that processed your purchase.

If you’re unsure how or where you’ve originally bought Clue Plus, search through your mailbox for an invoice containing the word “Clue”. This may give you an idea of where to start.

How to cancel based on where you subscribed:

Apple App Store (iOS)

Because of Apple’s Terms of Service, Clue is unable to assist with cancellations. You will need to cancel your subscription directly through their service. To cancel:

  1. Open your Settings app.
  2. Tap your Apple ID profile at the top of the page.
  3. Tap ‘Subscriptions’.
  4. Select Clue from the list of your active subscriptions.
  5. Tap ‘Cancel Subscription’.
  6. Tap ‘Confirm’ to end your Clue Plus subscription.

If you don't see a button to cancel, but do see a red text saying "Your subscription will expire soon",  you have already canceled it, and no further action is needed.

Google Play Store (Android)

To cancel your subscription directly with the Google Play Store:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon(top right).
  3. Tap ‘Payments & subscriptions’
  4. Select Clue in the list of your active subscriptions.
  5. Tap ‘Cancel Subscription’.

NOTE: If you don't see Clue, double-check if you are signed into a different Google account that might have been used for the purchase. You can easily switch Google accounts by tapping your profile icon (at the top right) in the Google Play app.

Clue website (helloclue.com)

This applies if you paid via our website, even if you signed up using your mobile phone's browser. These subscriptions are managed by our payment provider, Paddle. To cancel, please email help@paddle.comor use their chatbot.

HSA/FSA payment card

If you subscribed using your HSA/FSA card via the dedicated checkout, please contact the specialist payment provider directly to cancel your plan at support@withflex.com.

Subscription & Renewal Basics

  • Renewal Pricing: Please keep in mind that any subscription purchased at a promotional or discounted rate will automatically renew at the full price. You can find the standard renewal price on the initial invoice sent by your payment provider (App Store, Play Store, or Paddle).

  • Early Charges: If you notice a charge before your actual renewal date, it is likely a pre-authorization hold rather than a final charge. This is a common practice by payment providers to ensure funds are available. If the amount doesn't clear within a few days, please contact your payment provider directly.

  • Switching Between iOS and Android: If you originally subscribed to Clue Plus on an iPhone and moved to an Android (or vice versa), your subscription remains tied to the original store where you made the purchase. To manage or stop your subscription, you must log in to the platform or reach out to the provider (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) that originally processed your payment.

  • Access to Your Subscription: After canceling, you will keep all Clue Plus features until your current billing cycle ends. For example, if you buy a yearly subscription and cancel after only 3 months, you will still have access to Clue Plus for the remaining 9 months.
