Why aren’t my cycle predictions accurate?

Clue creates your cycle predictions based on what you’ve previously tracked. Cycles can change over time; they can also be temporarily influenced by factors like stress, sleep, diet, jet lag, or medications such as emergency contraceptives.

The Clue algorithm may not always be perfectly accurate with your predictions when these changes are occurring, since the algorithm can not know how these factors exactly influenced your cycle.

To make your cycle predictions in Clue as accurate as possible, we suggest:

  • Tracking accurately and consistently, which makes Clue’s predictions more precise
  • Hiding any atypical cycles from your calculations
