Hoe weet ik wanneer ik ovuleer?

The predicted ovulation day that you see in your Clue app is only an estimate. We recommend using the results of ovulation tests to determine your exact ovulation day.

If you’re in Clue Period Tracking mode, tracking positive ovulation results over multiple cycles allows the algorithm to predict your ovulation more accurately in the future. This is because Clue can learn how long your luteal phase typically is. The luteal phase is the time from your ovulation until the start of your next period.

To enter an ovulation test result, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Clue app.
  2. Tap on Track, or go to the Calendar View.
  3. Tap the day you want to enter your test result.
    • On Calendar View, you will need to double tap.
  4. Scroll down and find the ‘Tests’ category.
    • If you can’t find it, tap the “‘Customize”’ button at the top of your tracking view > Scroll down and find ‘Tests’ in the list > Toggle on ‘Tests’ > Close the window.
  5. Select either ‘Ovulation test positive’ or ‘Ovulation test negative’, and then tap ‘Track’.
  6. Tap ‘Save’ and close tracking.

When you enter a positive test result, it will set your day of ovulation to the day after your result. This is because over-the-counter ovulation tests indicate ovulation is within 24–48 hours of the result. You can read more about how to take ovulation tests here.

We’d like to highlight that the predicted ovulation day in the Clue app should not be used to prevent pregnancy. It’s not designed to be used as birth control.Find out more about ovulation in this article.
