Chat With Your Data is a new feature that lets people ask their Clue app about their cycle and related experiences in a conversational format.
The feature is like a chat, where users type questions in their own words and receive a reply in simple, everyday language. The answers are always based on the user’s own tracking data, to provide personalized insights.
We’ve built this feature to offer Clue users another way to interact with and understand their tracking data. Although people can already use the Calendar View and Analysis Tab to find patterns, those tools are more geared toward visual learners who feel comfortable reading graphs. So we designed Chat With Your Data with a different experience in mind – an approachable and easy-to-understand conversation.
The technology behind this chat is powered by a large language model (LLM) that has been pre-trained with strict guardrails set by Clue, to ensure your data privacy is protected and that you’re not given inaccurate information. Your data is never used to train this LLM, or any other AI model.

Chat With Your Data will be rolled out gradually. First to Clue employees for internal testing, then in a beta environment to a small group of Clue Plus subscribers who are US-based, in Clue Period Tracking mode, and whose devices are set to English. After we learn from beta and make improvements, availability of the feature will expand to more users.
