As an additional layer of security, you can hide the Clue app from your Home Screen. This adds extra privacy if someone gains access to your iPhone.
If your iOS operating system is version 18+, follow these steps:
- Go to the Home Screen of your iPhone.
- Search for Clue, and then touch and hold the app icon until the quick actions open.
- Tap ‘Require Face ID’.
- Whether it’s Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID or Passcode depends on your device's settings.
- Tap ‘Hide and Require Face ID’ (or Touch ID, Optic ID, Passcode), and then authenticate the change.
- Confirm you want to hide Clue by tapping ‘Hide App’.
- Your Clue app will now be removed from your Home Screen and Search results.
- To locate Clue again, go to your App Library and scroll down to the Hidden folder.
If your iOS operating system is version 17 or lower, follow these steps:
- Go to the Home Screen of your iPhone.
- Search for Clue, and then touch and hold the app icon until the quick actions open.
- Tap ‘Remove App’.
- Confirm you want to hide Clue by tapping ‘Remove from Home Screen’.
- Your Clue app will now be removed from your Home Screen.
- Now hide Clue from your Search results: Open iOS Settings > Tap ‘Siri & Search’ > Tap ‘Clue’ > Toggle off ‘Show App in Search’.
- To locate Clue again, go to your App Library.
