The language you see in your Clue app is automatically determined by the language your device is set to. For example, if your device is in English, then the Clue app will be set to English.
Right now, the app is available in over 15 languages. If you’d like to change the language of your Clue app, follow the steps below. People who use iOS devices have two options, and people who use Android have one option.
For iOS
To change the language of your device (and thus the Clue app):
- Open ‘Settings’ in your device.
- Tap ‘General’.
- Tap ‘Language & Region’.
- Tap ‘[Device] Language’.
- Select your preferred language.
To change the language of the Clue app only:
- Open ‘Settings’ in your device.
- Tap ‘Clue’ among the list of installed apps.
- Tap ‘Language’.
- Select your preferred language.
For Android
To change the language of your device (and thus the Clue app):
- Open ‘Settings’ in your device.
- Tap ‘System’.
- This may be called ‘General management’ on Samsung devices.
- Tap ‘Languages and input’.
- Tap ‘Language’.
- Tap ‘Add language’.
- Select your preferred language.
- If prompted, select a region.
- Tap ‘Set as default’ to change the language.
- If the ‘Set as default’ option is not available, add the language to your language lists and make sure it is at the top of the list.
- You should automatically see the updated language in your device. If not, restart your device.
In some cases (for instance, Xiaomi phones) it’s not possible to save a list of languages and you can only select one language at a time. After changing the language on such devices, you will need to delete and reinstall the Clue app to make the change effective.
